The following information will guide you to Liverpool and the conference venue:

1.   How to get to the conference venue:

Jurys Inn Liverpool hotel is easily accessible from all major transport points in the city. Whether you arrive by air, rail or car, these easy-to-follow directions should help you find the venue (see the map).

-      Bus:

The nearest bus stops to the Jurys Inn are:

   Gower Street

   Wapping

   Kings Parade

   Paradise Street Interchange (next to John Lewis)

 

-      Train:

The nearest train stations are:

   James Street - for the Wirral Line (6 minutes' walk)

   Moorfields - for the Northern Line (12 minutes' walk)

   Liverpool Central station (9 minutes' walk)

   Lime Street Station (12 minutes' walk)

 

-      Airport:

To get to the conference venue from Liverpool John Lennon Airport by:

   Bus:

To get to Jurys Inn hotel from the Airport hop on No. 500 Airport Express  bus and ride with no worries. Get off at Paradise Street Interchange which is just across the road from the hotel. The bus runs every 30 minutes.

    Taxi:

Taxis to the city centre cost around 12 Pounds (Approx. 16 Euro, 24 US Dollar) for the 20 minute journey.

   Car:

Follow signs for A561 towards City Centre. After approximately 6 miles, take a slight left onto A562 signposted Bootle, Birkenhead. Pick up signs for Kings Waterfront parking and turn right onto Queens Wharf. Take the next right onto Keel Wharf and the hotel is approximately 200 yards on the left.

 

-      Walking From Liverpool City Centre:

Follow signs to Albert Dock. Carry on past with the Albert Dock on your right and follow signs to Kings Waterfront parking. On approaching the car park turn right onto Keel Wharf and the hotel is 100 yards on the left.


2.   How to get to Liverpool:

The following information will guide you on how to get to Liverpool from the four main airports destined for this city.

-       Liverpool John Lennon Airport

 

-      Bus:

   To get to Jurys Inn hotel from the Airport by bus hop on bus No. 500 Airport Express  bus. Get off at Paradise Street Interchange which is just across the road from the hotel. The bus runs every 30 minutes.

   The bus No. 80A, run by Arriva, runs every 15 minutes and takes 45 minutes to the city centre.

   The bus No. 82A, also run by Arriva, runs every 30 minutes and takes around 40 minutes to the city centre.

   The bus No. 86A (Arriva) runs every 15 minutes during the day and now runs through the night, every half hour.

 

-      Taxi:

The journey into Liverpool city centre is 7 miles, takes approximately 20 minutes, and costs approximately 15 Pounds (prices can vary, depending on exact destination, so passengers are advised to check fare with driver).

 

-      London (Heathrow Airport, Gatwick Airport):

 

Liverpool is only about two hours from London by train. There's a train about every hour, with extra weekday evening peak services from London, and it's not too expensive to get there. You can get a saver ticket for 60 Pounds on the day of travel, or for as little as 8 Pounds if you book a couple of weeks in advance. Tickets are released three months in advance.

London is four to five hours away by coach and is served by a half a dozen services per day.

 

-      Train:

Train services run between Liverpool Lime Street Station and Heathrow Airport can be found through Trainline . 

 

-      Coach/Bus:

National express provides coach/ bus service all over UK. Coaches' times and fares are available on the website.

Megabus operates a network across the U.K. There is one bus daily from London to Liverpool.

 

-      Manchester Airport


Manchester Airport can also be. It is about a 45-60 minute drive away from Liverpool.

 

-      Train:

There is a direct train from Manchester Airport to Liverpool every hour at peak times (around 6:30AM-7:30PM). In addition, it is possible to reach Liverpool by changing at Manchester Piccadilly or Manchester Oxford Road.

 

Direct train services also run between Liverpool Lime Street Station and Manchester Airport operated by Northern Rail. 

 

-      Coach/Bus:

National express provides coach/ bus service all over UK. Coaches' times and fares are available on the website. Also Megabus operators can be used, they run a network across the U.K.
