Introduction

Routing builds connections between nodes, and provides forwarding services to above applications and end users. As the underlying infrastructure and core functions of all data networks, routing systems are crucial to the network architecture and its overall performance.

Diversified networks are emerging and legacy networks are keeping evolution, which entails an investigation into the invariant rationale behind and addressing the new challenges of routing technology. This symposium is to bring together researchers and engineers in communication, computer and social networks from academic and industry to discuss and exchange their new achievements and novel ideas in routing theories, protocol designs and system implementations.

The 2009 IEEE International Symposium on Network Evolution and Routing Innovation ( Routing09 ) will be held in conjunction with the 8th IEEE International Conference on Dependable, Autonomic and Secure Computing (DASC09),December 12-14, 2009, Chengdu, China.
